It's out of this world

From Cape Town, take a casual drive along the N2, over the Sir Lowry's Pass, past the apple orchards of Grabouw and Elgin, and through the patchwork of Bredasdorp's wheatlands to ARNISTON, a fishing village two centuries old. Arniston is named after one of the many ships which got wrecked along this stretch of South African coastline, having become victims of 'The Cape of Storms'.

If you like to stay near your cottage, just a quick stroll away are rock-pools where you can collect oysters or other delectable shellfish. You can bargain with local fishermen for fresh fish, or even catch your own Galjoen or Steenbras to cook over a braai in your own thatched lapa.
